My Father's House works in partnership to help empower Avian Park people. During 2020, we worked to set up an e-Kazi run by U-Save (Shoprite) on the corner of Albatross and Pelikaan Streets. This place provides safe, affordable food right in the township and saves a long walk into town. The business opened just before Christmas 2020.
We also work with the Avian Park Community Group (NPO Umbrella). A container was placed on the back of the lot, which is available for food ministry, children's/teens ministry, small fund-raising bazaars, and community connection. MFH is one of the groups using the facility, especially before buildings arrive for My Father's House. This truly is a community development that fosters deep friendships that help Avian Park. Below is the Shoprite truck that served the community before the e-Kazi was built, and the "cargo carrier" container that is currently used by Avian Park Community Group (NPO Umbrella).

Sadly, we lost our dear friend and colleague, Claire Slingers in January 2021, due to severe covid-19. She was the leader of the Avian Park Community Group (NPO Umbrella) She had a huge heart for her community, and was amazing with children. She was always filled with joy. Below is the container as it arrived, with since had window protection added and a coat or two of beautiful paint.
